Following on from the Australian Modern launch and Photo shoot posts I thought I'd show our back page ad in full.
To keep with the classic theme of the publication and the, dare I say it, Mad Men-esque style of the photography we came up with a layout and copy style that hopefully captures the mid-century feel.
We're really happy with the way it has turned out and we're getting great feedback. Hopefully we'll get an increase in sales too - we might even be able to afford that Gaggia machine!

We thought it was about time that we all went up to see the guys at the Sunshine Coast Solar Centre in their new swanky building. We wanted to say hi, see how everything was going and check out the new signage that we designed. As soon as we turned the corner and saw the building in front of us we were really impressed with how it all looked - very sharp.

As well as the signage, we were also really pleased to see the end result of the newspaper ads that we had designed. Mike and Brian reported very positive feedback and a good hike in enquiries.
To round of the morning we dropped in on Toscani's Maroochydore… more
It's out. Australian Modern is now available from all good bookshops. And what a lovely publication it is, full of great articles and beautifully put together.
We're very proud to be connected to this projected having designed the website (www.australianmodern.com.au) and provided the back page ad.

Clients that fall into that category are Montrachet, Chris Hall Photography, Absolutely Fabulous and Watpac—they're all famous and proudly Brissie.

Elite Bathware can be added to that category too. For years now the Elite showroom on Stanley Street has been a mecca for renovators, architects and interior designers looking to create the finest bathrooms. But until recently they didn't have a website, well not a real website anyway.
So we were very pleased to have been approached by the lovely people at Elite to create the online representation of what is a mightily impressive business. Daunted? Us? No, this is the sort of work we love.
… moreAfter our photo shoot with Hayley Photography, we waited (not so patiently) for the results. When they arrived we flicked through the hundreds of images, enjoying the priceless facial expressions we all pulled during the session.
After viewing the photos, it was clear. The 200 photos had to be made into a stop-motion clip to the Benny Hill theme, of course.

Things have been buzzing in the BA office for the last few weeks! We've been extra busy gearing up to launch our new website and rebranding.
Recently, we were offered the advertising space on the back cover of Australian Modern - A magazine about Mid 20th Century Design. What a great oppotunity to launch our new branding and design vision with a splash!
The concept
When we first began to draft concepts, we had many hilarious and outrageous ideas - none of which were an accurate representation of BA Creative. Luckily, Pete (our fearless leader and self professed lover of classical cars and classical style), introduced… more
We put a lot of thought into our designs, so we thought we'd share some of the thinking behind how we approach our work.
We are real people, with real experience. We understand motivations, passion and that thing which makes us human; emotion. People are the driving force behind a project and people are at the center of the purpose of design. We design for people.
We are observers and participants in business, technology, the arts and design culture. This includes our deep appreciation of the diverse and social community that is the web. We’re in tune with the ‘zeitgeist’ and the ebb and flow of trend, memes and style, because it matters that we are able to understand and connect with audiences.
It's a classic conundrum. You've just got a smashing new website, designed to pixel perfection and you don't want to ruin it by uploading images that are too big, too small, too dark, too light or otherwise. If you are needing simple re-colouration, resizing or cropping, the online version of Adobe Photoshop Express is a fantastic solution!
Adobe Photoshop Express Editor is a free online tool that offers a number of simple and handy tools, without the expense and stress of using a full version of Photoshop.

For quick colour adjustments, the Auto Correct tool… more
As well as sponsoring the Holland Park under 9s (more on that coming soon) BA Creative has installed eye catching, football themed advertising at the ground.
We went for a retro look incorporating a classic quote by the god-like football manager Brian Clough:
"I'm not saying we're the best, but we're definitely in the top one!"

I think this may have confused some of people who have never heard of Cloughie or think we're being outrageously arrogant—but it does attract attention.

What do you… more
